There’s a fun fact about my hometown that I may not have shared with you: it’s the birthplace of peanut butter. No, really. The first spreadable peanut butter started in my town in a small factory that’s since been replaced with a drug store and a coffee shop. There’s even a peanut butter festival every year! I mean, basically, peanut butter is in my blood.
So it’s all I could think about when I opened my box of USA Snicker’s Minis with milkshakes on my mind. I wanted milkshake and I wanted Snickers and nothing was going to stop me! Lucky for you, that means I devised these amazing Peanut Butter milkshakes with Mini Snickers skewers, perfect for your next cookout, tailgate, summer treat, whenever. When it comes to milkshakes, anytime is the right time.
First, let’s talk about these Snickers. I want them at every party for the whole summer.
Even better than that great party size? The red/white/blue packaging and the USA stamped on each one. Anytime I pick one up, my brain is basically chanting: USA, USA, USA!
To make your skewers, simply skewer a few of these Mini Snickers right onto a long skewer. Make sure that the skewer will rise above the rim of your serving glass. If your skewers are too long, they’re pretty easy to break- especially if you score the wood with a pair of scissors.
Two seems right, three’d be delicious, I definitely won’t judge you for four or more.
And now for the milkshake! Let’s get this party started.
- 1 1/2 cups vanilla bean ice cream
- 1 tablespoons powdered peanut butter
- 2-3 tablespoons milk
- whipped cream
- Beginning with two tablespoons of milk, blend all ingredients together in a blender until smooth and incorporated.
- If the milkshake is still a bit too thick, add the last tablespoon of milk and pulse.
- Pour into your serving glass and top with whipped cream and a Mini Snickers skewer.
I probably don’t need to tell you to drink these babies, right away- they’re so good you’ve probably already made them, finished them, and have gone for seconds.
I love dunking my mini Snickers right into the milkshake. A Snickers spoon! I’ll never understand how I didn’t think of this sooner.
Here’s what I like best about these peanut butter milkshakes. They’re peanut butter-y, but not overwhelming so- which makes them just right for pairing with Snickers. Using powdered peanut butter instead of regular peanut butter means that the milkshake is the perfect consistency and won’t force you to pull a muscle in your cheeks from trying to drink it with a straw. Oh, and did I mention that they’re DELICIOUS? They really, really are.
You can get these USA Snickers right down the street from you at Target, just in time for your summer entertaining. There’s even a Cartwheel offer, so make sure to add it to your list!
Now, go make some milkshakes. I think they’d go perfectly with some s’mores, don’t you?
