“This was a super crafty week! My favorite kind. I went to a huge craft show in Yokohama on Saturday where I took a workshop on how to make shibori (Japanese tie-dye). I made a Father’s Day gift for my dad, went to two of my favorite craft/art stores in Tokyo, spent lots of time practicing calligraphy (still need lots more practice!), and started a few future projects for the blog. The shibori teacher took our projects with him to dye them at his studio (there was no appropriate space to do it at the workshop, so we just tied them there) and he’ll mail them to us when they’re done. I can’t wait to get mine back!”
* It seems like the more I travel, the more places I want to see. It seems like travel only feeds wanderlust, instead of satiating it! We just got back from French Polynesia 3 weeks ago but I’m ready to plan our next trip. Can’t. Stop. Pinning. Travel. Guides. Follow my Travel board on Pinterest for more!
*I think I’ve mentioned before that I have a huge weakness for British period pieces. I’ve been watching “A Jewel in the Crown” and they keep referring to a drink called “nimbu.” Sounds pretty amazing; I think I have to try it this summer!
*I have an obsession with everything elephant ever since we spent a day with elephants in northern Thailand. So obviously, I HAVE to have this amazing bag.

Pat and I are looking for somewhere on the other side of the globe to vacation to. I need to read more about French Polynesia!
