“Have you ever had to ask for a different table at a restaurant? We went to a really lovely little Basque restaurant and the group at the next table was so obnoxiously
drunk that we asked to move to the other side of the restaurant. We love a lively restaurant, but they were actually singing OPERA at the top of their lungs. It was a 20 seat Michelin star restaurant, so it was intimate and on the nicer side. The staff completely understood and were very apologetic, but we still felt kind of snobby. What would you have done?”
*I’m looking for a weekend breakfast alternative to scrambled eggs. These oeufs en cocotte look like they might hit the spot. They’re easy and quick, and the touch of spinach makes me happy.
*How do you feel about meringues? They seem to be gaining popularity as the new trendy sweet. Sometimes the texture bothers me, but I want to try these jam meringue cookies or these salted caramel swirl ones.
*I need this little frying pan necklace. Need.

“In the process of moving, all of the old recording settings on my DVR were wiped clean. WHAT DO I WATCH ON TV? Seriously. I can’t remember. I know there was plenty of House Hunters, some Shark Tank, a little bit of New Girl and Parenthood. But other than that? Blank. The winter TV break is an absolutely terrible time to try to remember what you actually enjoy seeing, but now I’m thinking it’s a blessing in disguise. I’m FINALLY free from watching 2 Broke Girls! (Hush now, I merely… put it on to play in the BACKGROUND.) Am I missing a must see show? Because other than that I’m watching Big Bang Theory reruns until Game of Thrones begins later this year.”

I CANNOT believe they were singing opera! How bizarre and rude! A dresser for $20 – what a score!

Lol they were fairly talented, and I probably would have enjoyed it under any other circumstances… π

I’m with you Alyssa, I would have totally asked for another table. You have just as much a right to your ideal dining experience as they do π
