“I don’t even know where to begin with this week’s love letter! The 12 days have been just crazy and fun and interesting and educational. I think the highlight was honestly the calligraphy class that Carla and I took. My photo for this week is the table before the class started. A gorgeous letterpress guide to forming the letters, extra ink, and creamy Meyer lemon curd with rosemary shortbread that was so good I’ve been carefully rationing it out.
I’ve also spent way too much time traveling by myself. I actually don’t mind long flights when you’re forced to disconnect from the world, but I think travel is much more pleasant with someone else to keep you company. I caught up on some reading, watched Divergent, and took a few naps, so it wasn’t too bad overall!”

“I noticed this youth arts group making over the side of this building on the way home from work this week and it was the perfect metaphor for what the last week or two has been like. Alyssa has already mentioned the AMAZING calligraphy class we took last weekend, but we also learned plenty of new things at BlogHer and brainstormed tons of new ideas and have a to-do list a mile long. Throw in oodles of boba, a trip to Michelin-starred State Bird Provisions (did you catch the review?) and so much more fun. It was an incredible time. ”

*Alyssa and I learned about this Josie Maran Coconut Watercolor Cheek Gelee when we spent some quality time in Sephora recently. It’s so lovely! Super sheer color that’s not cake-y at all and looks like a pretty glow.
* Our new blog bestie (Hi, Sarah!) made Mint Canteloupe Ice Cream recently and I WANT TO EAT IT IMMEDIATELY.
