“Is there anything like comfort food when you’re not feeling well? My husband threw his back out and spent a few days out of commission. We have been sampling comfort food from around the globe. We had boxed mac ‘n cheese fortified with some smoked sausage to lift his spirits on the first day (Hey, I like to cook but I’m no food snob. Kraft mac ‘n cheese is where it’s at). Then Indian curry with crusty naan the next day. Thai noodles and Thai curry followed. What’s your comfort food? I love pastina with a generous slather of butter and lots of salt & pepper. A giant bowl of carbs is my weakness, whether it’s pasta or ramen or pad Thai. Or pho. I should stop now, I’m getting hungry.”
*Both of us love fried zucchini, and these seem like a fantastic new take on the concept. Must try!
*The main way I communicate with my parents is through FaceTime, so this Father’s Day card seems absolutely perfect.
*Bourbon-soaked cherries, perfect for cocktails. And the bonus: cherry-infused bourbon. Win/win.

“Do you prefer a savory or sweet breakfast? For some reason, this question has been on my mind recently. I had pancakes (and even churros!) as vacation breakfasts when I was in Mexico, but by the end of the week I was dying for vegetables and less sugar. Thankfully, the hotel had an amazing version of Huevos Rancheros I’m hoping to recreate soon. It was the perfect savory treat and got me thinking: is a sweeter breakfast really only appealing as a treat? I’m definitely not turning down anything served warm with maple syrup or anything soon, but I’m wondering if it’s just me!”
* Cookie cutters. Always fun, always inspiring. But when you find an Etsy shop with gazillions (technical term) of designs, including these AMAZING ANCHORS, you know you’ll need to empty your bank accounts and plan a dozen themed parties. (Ampersands! Origami paper cranes!! AHHHH!)
*YOU GUYS. You can buy jelly sandals again!! It’s a little depressing how excited I am about this. The silver glitter pair are going to transport me back to my 10th grade band trip to Hawaii, jamming out to Mariah Carey and Oasis and night swimming with my friends.
*Combining steak and skewers for perfection.

Appliance City, an appliance store from the UK, has created a really fantastic Scoville Institute-approved interactive periodic table of Scoville units. It’s pretty fantastic, and we’re excited that they included our two chili salsa to their 12 Best Chilli Recipes list! Check out their great project; the recipes are about halfway down the page.
