“Life is really exciting around here these days! We have several waves of visitors coming to Tokyo and the cherry blossoms are beginning to bloom. There’s a whole culture around viewing cherry blossoms in Japan, called hanami. It involves heading to one of the parks with hundreds of cherry blossom trees, meeting up with friends, setting up tarps and blankets for a picnic, then drinking and snacking all day long under the canopy of pink puffy flowers. It’s one of my favorite parts of living in Tokyo, and I look forward to these precious 10-12 days all year long!”
*Here’s a healthy snack for the office: make your own microwave popcorn from your favorite bulk popcorn. You don’t even need oil.
*These crepe paper tulips are just lovely. I’ve been investigating paper flower tutorials, and I think that this one is wonderfully clear. It isn’t nearly as complicated a process as many of the others, the flowers don’t look obviously fake, and they are so perfect for spring! Imagine the lovely Easter centerpiece you can make…
*This is possibly the most beautiful cake I have ever seen. I feel like I could actually DO this. It doesn’t take fancy icing skills at all. Oh yeah, and the cake itself sounds absolutely delicious, too.

“My first print (and a contact sheet!) from my Black and White film class! P.S. I will now never stop wondering why prints don’t cost twenty bucks a pop- so much labor involved!
I’m re-branding my photography business right now and while it’s incredibly fun, it’s also so overwhelming! There are so many gorgeous visual options and even more advice about how to make sure you’re accurately presenting what your client wants to see. Any advice, on either logistics or what you like to see as a customer?”
* I dig all nut butters in a major way, but I am hooked on this powdered version called PB2. The flavor and consistency is beyond fantastic and it’s SO healthy!
* This list has side by side photos of famous landmarks from around the world paired with a zoomed out view that shows you the surrounding area. I had no idea that some of these were so isolated, so spread out or so small!
* In case you share my love of gorgeous melamine place settings, I’m swooning over these blue lovelies at Williams Sonoma.
