It’s the time of year when pumpkin shows up everywhere. Granola, lattes, pies, cookies, muffins. And now . . . on your face! This homemade face mask is easy to make, smells (and tastes) amazing, and your skin will feel fantastic.
It only has four ingredients, and you probably have at least two of them on hand already:
Pumpkin to brighten and smooth your skin
Roasted almond oil to reduce wrinkles and fine lines as well as moisturize
Honey, which has anti-aging and anti-oxidant properties
Brown sugar, a mild exfoliant to clear dead skin cells
My skin felt soft and supple and looked noticeable brighter. I know the ingredients are decidedly fall, but I think this is going to turn into part of my beauty regimen year-round!
This also makes a unique gift in a mason jar if you attach a cute label and put some ribbon or washi tape on. Or try using Carla’s etched glass tutorial to make an extra-special container! I’m thinking pumpkins would be absolutely adorable . . . !
Homemade Fall Face Mask
½ c pumpkin puree (with no additives)
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 teaspoons almond oi
Combine ingredients in a small bowl. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three weeks.
To use, generously spread on face and neck, avoiding your eyes. Resist the urge to lick your own face. Leave it on for 15 minutes, then remove with warm water and a wash cloth.

How long will this last ( I’m assuming you pit it in the fridge) after you make it?
Alyssa says
Hi Hannah! Store it in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 weeks. Enjoy, and thanks for stopping by!

Hey, thank you for the tutorial. When you say pumpkin puree, is simply fresh pumpkin pureed in a blender? Or do you have to cook it first?
Alyssa says
Hi Olga, I actually just used the canned puree. If you want to make your own, you should roast the pumpkin first then puree it in a blender. Let it cool, obviously, before putting it on your face!! 😉

Great, thanks a lot!
