Happy Friday! Is it happy hour yet?
I went to a great German restaurant in Cleveland with my parents, Der Braumeister. They have a great beer selection, and my favorite was Canadian brewery Unibroue’s La Fin du Monde. I’ve seen in on beer lists and in grocery stores before, but somehow had never tried it.
It might be my favorite Belgian-style beer. And I really like Belgians! It’s creamy and smooth, like a good tripel should be. And the flavors are wonderfully balanced. It tastes of honey and orange, with a bit of coriander. But not overwhelmingly so; it still tastes like beer. The icing on the cake? It has 9% abv!
You can find La Fin du Monde at Trader Joe’s and most well-stocked supermarkets.
